Created two years ago as part of Environmental Defense Fund, the Defend Our Future initiative was launched to increase votership of young people by 10% and build a nationwide movement around action for climate change.
The Defend Our Future campaign had to be bold, accessible, and thought-provoking to a millennial target audience. It not only had to compel them to vote but convince them the little things we do each day to combat climate change add up and actually make a difference.
A modern, aggregating, challenge-based website was the answer. It allows tracking of lists as well as “actions” and helped Defend Our Future increase awareness, gain supporters, and propel their movement forward.
